Dan Hoffenberg, aka "JapaneseFreak" has been playing Spades for over 15 years. Born to parents who met at a local bridge club, he was raised around cards and developed a keen interest in them at a very young age. By the age of 15, he was playing Spades competitively and at 19 started playing professionally. Today he enjoys teaching and still loves to play both socially and in cash tournaments. He designed this website for the benefit of his students and for others.
Spades Quizzes began October 2001 in the Team DnD ladder message forum. The quizzes were a success and eventually lead to the creation of SpadesQuiz.com
